Proudest moment.

The most proudest moment of my life was when I scored the winning goal for my 2008 indoor soccer team, The Hot Shots, against our biggest rivals of the season, the Chivitas.

I remember the anxiety, nervousness, and how uneasy I felt on the way to the game during the drive that seemed like a lifetime. Driving from Tracy to Turlock was hard to deal with and the anticipation drove me insane. When I had finally got there and met up with my team we were all extremely nervous and excited. This was our first time competing for first place and we needed to win, especially when the Chivitas were our opponent. We had played them before and lost by four points, so this was our time of redemption. We had heard them boasting about how easy it would be for them to win, but little did they know we weren't going to give up that easily.

After the referee checked us in, the whistle blew and we began to play. The first half of the game was intense, tied 0-0, until within the last few minutes of the game, they scored the first point. As half time came, we were determined to get back that goal and win the game, so when we went back in for the second half we gave everything we had to try to beat them and it payed off because within the first few minutes, we scored. Although we had scored, we knew time was running out and if we didn't make another goal, it'd go to sudden death. As the final seconds came on to the game clock, we finally got our break, a foul. My heart was racing as my coach picked me to take the kick. I could hear him telling me to pass the ball, but I had a gut feeling to aim for the goal, so I did. I watched the ball as it made its was to the top left corner of the goal and barley make it in with ten seconds left in the game.

The crowd roared with excitement and my whole team gathered around me congratulating me. I was still in shock, because I thought the ball wasn't going to go in, but luckily it did. Being able to score that goal was the proudest moment of my life and I will never forget it.
