Embarassing

One of my most memorable an incredibly most embarrassing moments was the time of my 15th birthday. In latin cultures there's this huge party in a girls life called a "quinceniera", which is a girls 15th birthday. In my culture or in any latin culture, this day in a girls life is very important because its similar to a ceremony of some sort. When a girl turns 15 she crosses the bridge from a little girl to a young lady.

When I first realized Im turning fifteen soon I knew I had a lot of work to do. I was afraid and embarrassed because in a quinceniera you must have a dance with your family, the quince's partner and a whole bunch of other important stuff. My quinceniera wasn't as big as I wanted it to be but it was still special. I had to plan or help plan what was going to happen also I had to make a dance for my damas and damos which are like a selected few of my girl friends and guy friends that will dance with me. This wasn't an easy task for me especially since I've never done it.

My quinceniera took almost 6-8 months to plan. Th e invitations were sent and rehersals were done but when the time came I was so embarrassed. That day was one of the happiest days of my life and tiring too. I was so embarrassed by all the pictures taken, all the compliment and with me dancing with my uncles and aunts, my father and mother too.

My quinceniera was a really embarrassing day but also a hap emory. It was a day I would never forget because you only turn 15 once in a lifetime. My 15th birthday will always be remembered. I cant forget it anyway, I have three photo albums full of pictures of my quinceniera.
