The whole adventure Alice is going through in Wonderland is pretty crazy. Falling down a rabbit hole into a room of doors where a bottle of shrinking potion and a cake that makes you grow is waiting there for her. She's always encountering talking animals and acts like she's known them for a while. Nothing really makes sense in this book, and it's pretty unpredictable.
Soooo, after actually reading chapters 5&6 the book still isn't making much sense. When she was speaking to the caterpillar, she mentioned that she wasn't too fond of change, which could expresses her frustration of growing up. Every time she enters a house, she seems to meet yet another strange character. When Alice went to the Duchess's house, she met the Cheshire cat whose grinning did not phase her at all. Does that mean she's beginning to think of the things in Wonderland as 'normal'?
ReplyDeleteI also think that the story was very unperdictable and that nothing did make sense but just like what you had said about the cat I also have a feeling that Alice is beginning to finally understand Wonderland.
ReplyDeleteYes, I agree that Alice is beginning to think of the things in Wonderland as "normal". She doesn't really find anything strange. That could possibly mean that she is beginning to accpet that she has to grow up sometime.
